Minot, N.D. – Jessica Egge has been promoted to the role of Director of Interior Design, she has been with Ackerman-Estvold since 2017. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Universidad de las Americas Puebla - Cholula, Mexico. Egge has spent over twenty-seven years in the field of architecture, from preliminary design, construction documentation and the bidding process to construction administration and project completion. She specializes in all things interior; by assisting clients in analyzing their needs and developing a plan that will best accomplish beauty and function for their project. In this role, Egge will continue to focus on assisting our clientele to create innovative concepts and vibrant spaces using the newest in materials, colors, textures and technologies and serve as a lead liaison for other team members as well as leading proposal and business development for interiors.


Minot, N.D. – Nathan Amick assumes role of Construction Engineering Director, he has been with Ackerman-Estvold since 2009. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from North Dakota State University, Fargo, North Dakota, and passed his PE licenses in 2021. Amick spent five years as an intern with the company, focusing on construction observation and engineering, before he started full time with the company following his graduation from NDSU in 2014. His initial focus within the company was within the Water Resources area, working on water modeling and water related project design, and also assisted with land acquisitions related to those design projects. Amick transitioned to the construction engineering area to assist with administration and management of Ackerman-Estvold construction projects prior to the 2022 construction season. In 2023, he will move into a larger role of construction management leading the Ackerman-Estvold Construction Engineering department; leading the construction team to serve our clients as their construction liaison and continue the focus on growing our relationships within the industry.




Minot, N.D. – Jeff McElwain will be retiring at the end of this month from his role within Ackerman-Estvold. He served as the Vice President of Construction Engineering and was one of the four founding members who worked together creating Ackerman-Estvold Engineering Management Consulting, Inc, in October of 2003. McElwain has been in the engineering and construction industry for over 30 years. Jeff started his career in California, moving back to his home state of North Dakota, going back to school and receiving his Associates of Science Degree from North Dakota State College of Science, Wahpeton, North Dakota and later earning is PE license. While in ND, McElwain worked for firms in Bottineau and Minot until 2003, when Ackerman-Estvold was formed. Alan Estvold, Rolly Ackerman, Ryan Ackerman and Jeff McElwain started the company.


During his time with the firm, Jeff has worn many hats, but his main focus was working with clients and area municipalities turning project plans into reality through construction engineering. McElwain stated, “There is nothing like working alongside partners as we turn lines on a sheet of paper into the tangible projects making our communities a better place to live and work, it never gets old watching a project come to life. This was a great chapter in my life.” He will be retiring in the Minot area and enjoying more time with his family and hoping to spend some of his free time golfing and fishing.
