Minot, N.D. – Jeff McElwain will be retiring at the end of this month from his role within Ackerman-Estvold. He served as the Vice President of Construction Engineering and was one of the four founding members who worked together creating Ackerman-Estvold Engineering Management Consulting, Inc, in October of 2003. McElwain has been in the engineering and construction industry for over 30 years. Jeff started his career in California, moving back to his home state of North Dakota, going back to school and receiving his Associates of Science Degree from North Dakota State College of Science, Wahpeton, North Dakota and later earning is PE license. While in ND, McElwain worked for firms in Bottineau and Minot until 2003, when Ackerman-Estvold was formed. Alan Estvold, Rolly Ackerman, Ryan Ackerman and Jeff McElwain started the company.
During his time with the firm, Jeff has worn many hats, but his main focus was working with clients and area municipalities turning project plans into reality through construction engineering. McElwain stated, “There is nothing like working alongside partners as we turn lines on a sheet of paper into the tangible projects making our communities a better place to live and work, it never gets old watching a project come to life. This was a great chapter in my life.” He will be retiring in the Minot area and enjoying more time with his family and hoping to spend some of his free time golfing and fishing.
