PONDEROSA STATE PARK BOAT RAMP RECONSTRUCTION
In fall of 2019, Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation prepared an assessment of the existing boat ramp and realized that it was in need of replacement. In February of 2020, Ackerman-Estvold was hired to support Park’s staff in securing the necessary permits to work with in the Payette Lake form the Army Corps of Engineer and to prepare the construction drawings needed for the bidding process. In May, Ackerman-Estvold was able to access the site, once the snow was gone, and perform the necessary survey work. Design included the removal and replacement of the existing concrete boat ramp, the construction of a new ADA accessible boat dock and retrofit the exiting ADA boat ramp to meet current code. In June, the project went out to bid and bids were below the budget. The project is scheduled to start construction mid-October 2020, once the level of the lake drops for winter.
