MEET OUR 2025 SEASONAL INTERNS

1ST YEAR INTERN
Architecture
ALEX HAMMAN
Alex Hamman is pursuing her Master’s in Architecture at North Dakota State University and has joined our team as a Design Intern in our Fargo, ND office. She comes to us with completion of 4 years in the Architecture program at NDSU, as well as 3 years as a Resident Ambassador for a large Property Management firm in West Fargo.
FUN FACT: If Alex is around, break out the Bubbl'rs! She's a fan, BIG fan!

1ST YEAR INTERN
Civil & Construction Engineering
ashley machipisa
Ashley Machipisa is a freshman at UND with plans to major in Mechanical Engineering. He spent some time in the fall as an Undergraduate Research Assistant experimenting and training on AI Large Language Models (i.e. Microsoft Pilot.) Previously, Ashley was involved in the energy industry and will gain hands-on engineering experience as our Construction Specialist Intern in Williston, ND.
FUN FACT: When Ashley isn't in the field on a beautiful day, you may find him on the pitch!

1ST YEAR INTERN

AUSTIN COLLINS
Formally in sales and project management, this year will be an introduction to the world of engineering for Austin Collins. Serving as a Construction Specialist Intern for our Williston team, Austin will be active on Williams County and western North Dakota projects. Already holding an Associate of Science Degree, Austin will continue his pursuit of a Bachelors in Civil Engineering from UND.
FUN FACT: If you want to get to know Austin, ask him about Rock Hounding.

3RD YEAR INTERN

LANDEN SNELLINGS
Returning as a 3rd year intern on the Construction Team in Williston, ND. Landen is a senior at UND and will be graduating with a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering in May of 2027. Landen will serve the Williams County area in North West North Dakota throughout the summer.
FUN FACT: Spending a few years with our resident Construction Manager in Williston has kept Landen on his toes. He's learned a lot and gained valuable experience close to home.

2ND YEAR INTERN

LUCAS VOLLMER
Lucas is a second year returning Construction Specialist Intern in our Minot, ND office. He is currently enrolled at Minot State University with plans to transfer to NDSU to pursue a degree in Civil Engineering.
FUN FACT: A little sweet and a little sour; to get on Lucas's good side, show up with a Snickers bar and some Sourpatch!

4TH YEAR INTERN

NICK SANDERS
Nck Sanders is a senior at North Dakota State University and is scheduled to graduate with his BS in Civil Engineering December 2025. He returns to the Minot office as a Construction Specialist Intern serving various projects throughout North Central North Dakota.

1ST YEAR INTERN

CONOR ODAHLEN
Minot native, Conor Odahlen is planning to attend NDSU in pursuit of a degreen in Civil Engineering. He will be working as a Construction Specialist Intern with a majority of his time spent in Minot on Phase Mi-7 of the Mouse River Enhanced Flood Control Project. Conor has previously gained experience as a Survey Tech with Ackerman Surveying.
FUN FACT: Conor was previously active in tennis, baseball, and basketball. As a new intern, he may not get a lot of time for those activities, but we're sure he will have a ball, nonetheless!

ETHAN MATHEWS
Ethan Mathews joins our seasonal team as a Construction Specialist Intern in the Minot office. Ethan spent some time at Minot State University and is now pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering at UND.
FUN FACT: We've agreed to fuel Ethan's affinity for Mountain Dew this summer, but we draw the line on Funyuns. Regardless, he will have plenty of caffeinated FUN at AE!

1ST YEAR INTERN
Transportation Engineering
KELBY GION
A recipient of one of our civil engineering scholarships, Kelby joins our team in the Fargo office as a Transportation Engineering Intern. He is currently a student at NDSU pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering.
FUN FACT: FORE! When not in the Fargo office, you will find Kelby on the golf course this summer or enjoying peanut butter and chocolate. Maybe not at the same time.

SETH HUUS
Seth Huus is a Minot, ND native and attends NDSU. He joins our Minot team as a Construction Specialist Intern and is focused on municipal engineering projects.
FUN FACT: Seth is an award-winning carpenter through a program he was part of in high school so we know he loves to build! Seems like the perfect time to now learn to design!

1ST YEAR INTERN
Environmental & Water Resource Engineering
SETH ROEDOCKER
Joining our team as Environmental Engineering Intern, Seth works closely with our Water Resources Department in our Minot, ND office. Seth graduated with an Associates degree from Bismarck State College, spent a year at Minot State University and is currently pursuing a bachelor’s in Environmental Engineering from NDSU with an anticipated graduation of May of 2027.
FUN FACT: Is it an enchilada, a taco, or a burrito that suits his fancy? Be sure to ask Seth if you see him. We're guessing all three from his favorite restaurant in Minot, Mi Mexico!

1ST YEAR INTERN

WYATT KALLIOKOSKI
Velva, ND native Wyatt Kalliokoski will pursue his bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering at NDSU this fall. Wyatt joined us previously as a high school job shadow where a career in the construction and transportation aspects of Civil Engineering peaked his interest. Wyatt has also explored land surveying, spending some time with Ackerman Surveying last year.
FUN FACT: Wyatt's grandfather is somewhat infamous in the Minot region, once exclaiming, "Boil The Damn Water!". If you know, you know.
