Committed to children and the education of students in our region, the Magic City Discovery Center is the result of envisioning how STEAM activities could be housed in its own structure and become a regional attraction for the community of Minot. This building was meant to not necessarily be the centerpiece of the project, but to be a shell for the heart of activities within while still being a learning tool itself. At just over 22,000 square feet, the new building will provide a multitude of spaces for STEAM learning with a focal piece being a new two-story interactive climber with a top that pokes above the roof for a 360 degree view of the city and a glass enclosure on the south side taking full advantage of the views looking over Minot.
