Ackerman-Estvold has provided cultural resource management support for oilfield related projects across North Dakota. Through successful dialogues with the North Dakota State Historic Preservation Office and the Three Affiliated Tribes Tribal Historic Preservation Office, Ackerman-Estvold has conducted cultural resource identification, assessment, and mitigation efforts. Working diligently with project engineers and environmental staff, Ackerman-Estvold provided recommendations on routes to avoid cultural resources.  Supplementary work included additional pedestrian surveys, probability modeling to assist with pipeline reroute design, and National Register of Historic Places eligibility assessments for significant resources that could not be successfully avoided.  All efforts were in compliance with applicable state and federal guidelines
